Krystyna Pyszková, hailing from the Czech Republic, achieved the prestigious title of Miss World during a dazzling ceremony held in India on Saturday night.
Among 112 contenders, Yasmina Zaytoun from Lebanon emerged as the first runner-up in the competition hosted in Mumbai, the bustling financial and entertainment hub of India.
Expressing her elation, Pyszková remarked, “Being crowned Miss World is a dream come true. I am deeply honored to represent my country and uphold the values of ‘beauty with a purpose’ on a global stage.”
As the reigning Miss World, Karoline Bielawska of Poland gracefully passed on the crown, Pyszková waved to the enthusiastic crowd at the Jio World Convention Center and shared heartfelt embraces with fellow contestants.
The event served as a splendid showcase of India’s diverse culture, rich traditions, vibrant arts and crafts, and exquisite textiles, captivating a vast global audience. Participants adorned themselves in intricately embroidered attire and danced to the beats of popular Bollywood melodies.
This edition of the beauty competition marked a significant return to India after a hiatus of 28 years. India’s representative, Sini Shetty, showcased her talent and grace, reaching the final eight contenders.

India boasts a proud legacy in the Miss World pageant, with six remarkable women clinching the coveted title over the years. Notable winners include Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra (2000), and Manushi Chillar (2017).
The 71st Miss World extravaganza was brilliantly hosted by Bollywood luminary Karan Johar and Miss World 2013 Megan Young from the Philippines, adding glamour and charm to the spectacular event.
